Hello y'all ... So last week Miss Juicy had let you all in our latest shopping adventure in Taipei! So here I am to continue to unveil some of these secret coves of our newly found shopping haven...
Get ready.. Get packed and Go!
All set for Taipei but only have A day of shopping to spare... Worry not! This city has great pockets of shopping spots that won't let you leave Taipei without a small loot! *big grins!
Starting your morning at...
Taipei main station
As the place suggest... Yes the main transportation hub... The gateway to all destinations around and out of Taipei as well as a shopping destination! There are many shops around this area on street level... but there is also a very large and long underground shopping street (台北地下街)that stretches from Taipei Main Station MRT to Taipei Railway station and Taipei High Speed Rail station.
It was indeed a real pity that we didn't have time to explore the place.. But with the little time we had.. we stumbled upon a shoe shop (the only one opened at 9am).. and bagged.. 3 pairs of shoes each girl!
If you don't have the time to head over to Wu Fen Pu, Shilin night market provides a good alternative. The items in the night market aren't absorbitantly priced and comparable to Wu Fen Pu/ Xi Men even though Shilin is a known tourist attraction.. You would be able to get simple tops for TWD190 each and blouses for TWD380 each.. Shops in Shilin are divided into 2:- There are physical shops with fixed prices (no bargaining, suitable for the weak hearted) as well as the mobile vendors (where bargaining is possible), who are often hassle by the cops for setting up their stalls in the middle of the street!
so girlies.. whatcha waiting for.. plan your next shopping destination.. to Taipei! till then.. *smile and stay fabulous!

Flats for TWD200 (RM20)! |
Vendors start business about 4pm, and close at 1am.. giving you shopaholics.. ample time to browse the streets! And if you get hungry in between.. hop over to food court to refuel.. recharge and re-energised!

Note of caution: if you do intend to purchase items from these mobile vendors, to make your decisions and set a price quick, before the cops come to intervene your transaction
EverRich Duty Free Shop at Taoyuan Airport
Now that your time in Taipei draws to an end.. and you're heading off to the airport, do allow yourself a few hours extra for check-ins, customs clearance and SHOPPING!
The moment I crossed the customs check.. I swear.. I went crazy.. like never before in a duty free shop...!! I had my eye on the Issey Miyaki perfume 'Floral' like forever but found it to be too expensive (close to RM300), and in Taipei it was a RM100 less! Wohoo! Other items my shopping buddies picked up were Anna Sui items and Chole perfume before we were blinded by Coach!
Coach at the Taipei duty free, although not as cheap as the US.. it still is 10-20% cheaper compared to the Malaysia outlet.. Needless to say... we did not stop until it was time for us to board.. *sad.. and there were others like Longchamp, Gucci and Shu Umera cosmetics that we did not have the time to venture too...
