Like any other Chinese new year... I had to uphold my yearly tradition of getting a cheongsam to usher in the year of the rabbit! Where else can you find elegant..detailed yet affordable cheongsams but MandyChole boutique (brainchild of Ms Shereen Cheong)!
It was a really pleasant surprised as I stumbled upon this website while trying to google 'cheogsam in kl' not only did they sell casual yet sexy cheogsams... This online boutique also sells show stealer cheongsams that would make heads turn the next time you are thinking bout an outfit for your dinners and weddings!
The first and Only rule to Cheongsams - it requires a good fit... Most times if the top fits the hips are too tight... On the flip side ... If the hips fit you'll find your bust unflattering and loose... Certainly not what a cheongsam should be like! At MandyChole although an online boutique... Shereen Cheong invites you over to her house to view and try her pieces... All specially ordered and hand-made based on Shereen's ideas... Shereen who used to be in the corporate world left it all behind in pursuit of her passion of fashion and cheongsam... With her cheongsam pagent experience..she definitely knows a thing or two about how to look good in cheongsams and how to help unproportionate Malaysian girls like us that lack on the bust but too wide on the hips... So some of her cheogsams pieces comes with padding! Yay to havin bigger boobs!! She even says that having a little bit flab on the tummy adds to the curves... Which I definitely agree.. Lol!
It was indeed a fun experience trying out the collection.. Shereen was most generous to give us a discount.. which made the deal much sweeter! In the end.. Miss Juicy and I left truly embracing ourselves with our new cheongsams all set for the Chinese new year
