It was suppose to be Fat Princess Jojo's last post for Shopping in Saigon / Ho Chi Minh City.. But I couldn't resist! I had to share more Saigon delights to all you fashionistas out there! After all.. Saigon has a special place in my heart..
So if you're into a Japanese fashion, Mac Thi Buoi Street is your little Japan...[*pause.. a moment of silence to mourn for the disaster in Japan]
In this post I shall list a few shops that I've shopped at... although there are many more little unearth treasures on this street! Sadly... I only discovered this street shortly before I left Vietnam...
Starting off with Mauve...

Mauve 47 Mac Thi Buoi Street
An unassuming tiny shop has everything a girl could ask for clothes.. bags.. shoes.. accessories.. But over here they specialise in clothes made to order.. or you could pick any of their dresses off the shelf and the ladies in the store will alter to fit your body.. especially great for average/ bigger size women.. if you can't seem to fit into those Vietnamese sizes! =) You'll be pleasantly surprised to find nice elegant dinner dresses with accessories to match at this shop...
I had a friend pick winter fabrics at Mauve to make winter coats to bring back to Canada with her.. apparently for less than USD100 you can get yourself a nice trendy, tailor made winter jacket... Isn't that a bargain!
Asian Fish 34 Mac Thi Buoi Street
Asian Fish is in an alley off Mac Thi Buoi Street, a word of caution.. the alley may look a little dogdy... but you'll be surprised when you come out on the other side... [my friend.. same one with the winter jacket.. found this shop while taking a wrong turn =) ]
There are a few shops in this alley but my personal fav is Asian Fish... Apart from clothes and random household items.. they also have an interesting and cute selection of bags.. Not to miss out the bargain corner selling Tops for USD5 and bottoms for USD7.. and if you're for a splurge.. their other non-discounted piece are very kawaii Japanese fashion...
