It was one of those weeks of too many late nights.. being hunched over the laptop for far too long... The stress from work only added my cry... I NEEDED A MASSAGE!! My shoulders needed kneading.. My lower back - a good rub.. My body - some pampering.. In short.. I needed to get away from it all!!
Being desperate, I knew I had to source for a spa who would accomodate not only to my pampering needs but my busy work hours too...And so I stumbled upon this spa haven Soul Nibbana while searching for 'spa in pj' online.. Not one of the tops searches I must say.. But what caught my eye was the 2 hour aromatherapy massage for RM95! My heart leaped with joy and shoulders shuddered with glee! Plus they had a slot on that Saturday afternoon.. Hooray!
But then I saw the promotion 'happy hour Monday to Friday 1 hour aromatherapy massage for RM40!' Woah even better!
And that was enough to make me pick up the phone to book a Friday evening slot.. Ah what a way to end my week and begin my weekend with a happy hour massage!
Located along the busy main raid just opposite the Taman Bahagia LRT... I fought my way in thru the after hour and after school traffic... And finally made it for my late evening appointment ...
I was in awe as the gates rolled open to unveil a Balinese design spa waiting for me at the other side.. It was as if I entered a world away from the KL city traffic and I felt my stressful week slowly melt away ...
The welcoming orange walls and teak furniture almost instantly got to me.. The owner Jade Teoh was at the reception waiting to 'check me in for my appointment' explain the happy hour treatements available.. You can opt to mix and match 2 or more treatments during their Happy Hour Promotion..
But because I had only planned for an hour massage.. i didn't have the time to try the others.. So I just went ahead with my initial plan of getting the 1 hour Aromatherapy Massage @ RM40.. usually at RM85..
So I shoved my laptop into an available locker and was ushered upstairs onto a comfy couch.. at this point of time I had no idea what else this package had but the massage.. Good Job Jojo for not doing your research beforehand.. I suppose ignorance is bliss cos I was most delighted to be treated to a quick foot scrub and light massage.. =) ah definitely no complains there!
After the foot scrub, I was led into one of the treatment rooms to undress and get the massage started.. with my back being the first place my masseuse started her magic. Because of the knots at my shoulders I made sure she concentrated at the right spots.. I'm usually not for firm massages.. but this time I wanted a firm hand to knead out the knots and tired muscles.. I enjoyed the whole experience all the way through .. especially with the scalp massage at the end ...Although it was relaxing, I must say it didn't quite release my tired shoulders off the tension..
Would I go back again.. Yes I WILL.. and I'll definitely go back to try out the hot stone massge.. apparently it's extremely relaxing! Plus they have a happy hour card.. Buy 8 Treatments stamps and get 1 Free. If you find rushing for that Happy hour (Weekdays 3pm - 8pm) is not your thing, Soul Nibbana also have the "Post Natal Massage" that can be used anytime which includes 10 massages + 2 body scrub/ mask for only RM450 ...

Okay.. i know you girls must be staring at me wide eyed.. "POST NATAL".. no.. I'm not a New mum nor am I preggers.. But Soul Nibbana Spa actually specialises in treatments for Mums to Be or New Mums .. And they do have special packages and great discounts for type treatments! So their Post Natal massage is similiar to the Aromatherapy massage, only with different oils.... And good news ladies.. they also have bust treatments to firm the bust after breatfeeding, but for those who aren't.. the bust treatment can help for having bigger boobs.. so who's to complain!
So not only for New Mums and Mums to be.. I would recommend Soul Nibbana for any girl who just needs a Happy Hour after a hectic day at work! *smile and stay fabulous!
