Dress up!

“Trends come and go, but the dress persists, secure in its status as a metaphor.” Irwin Shaw, the Girls in Their Summer Dresses.

What is in a dress? To me a dress can be best described as…

… a simple thread, woven into a piece of cloth and put together with embellishments to be made into the most beautiful piece of garment you would have ever laid your eyes upon. It flatters your every curve, brings out the complexion of your skin and your legs look like it goes on forever under the wispy flair of the hems. It brings it the diva, the temptress, the princess, the corporate lady, anyone you want and need to be for that occasion. It brings out your inner confidence knowing that you have nailed that look. Everything else seems to fall oh-so effortlessly into place, just because you had the right dress…

What do other women have to say about “a dress”?

“Dresses are ‘the ultimate in comfort, dresses are almost always looser and less constricting than pants or a skirt,”

“They’re colorful, light and airy, they make girls look happy and confident about their bodies.”

“A dress is such a practical outfit, you don’t have to think about coordinating tops and bottoms.”

“Dresses do particularly well in a recessionary climate, when consumers embrace them ‘as the most economical way to create a new outfit’”

“They always make you look pulled together,”

“When I wear it, I feel youthful, ready to move, ready to laugh, ready to be spontaneous.”

So to all you girlies out there… bring out your inner confidence today and don upon my pick of these fabulous dresses… that would truly make you feel Empowered like a women should be.. and dare I say.. “Girl Power” to us all! *smile and stay fabulous!
