Blogshops - T’was alive! At the Chic Pop Market Six

We were there! We were there! It must have been a dream come true for most online shoppers – a day where blogshops went offline and came alive; online products be touched, tested and paraded! All of this went on in Jaya One at the Chic Pop Market 6 last Saturday, 22 Jan 2011.

Us freebie whores even managed to snag ourselves a coupla’ swags! (Yup, we were thaaat early…and kiasu).

So, what were sold?

There were mainly clothes, accessories, and bags, some new, some vintage (pre-loved).

Hands were frantically grabbing the accessories - at RM5!

A worthy mention, which stood out, to me,from the rest of the vendors was:

Pestle & Mortar

“We make T-shirts” as quoted from their website. A shop selling t-shirts printed with pictures that define the uniqueness of Malaysia through their eyes – it gives you a warm fuzzy sense of nostalgia when looking at it. Me likey! Hoorah for all the guys who were at the marketplace - there was something for them too (it wasn’t all just girly stuffs). Yay!

were the comments of one friend.  

Boy, was that spot on! Hot it was – the girls sizzled, and the guys melted (the afternoon sun not helping in sending temperatures’ soaring). Ladies were garbed in chic and trendy wear, all eyeing for the “best dressed” no doubt. There was even a booth by TopShop for a free makeover/ trial to keep the melting makeup in-check. Now you know how the girls managed to continue looking hot despite the sun.

Anyways, we went with a pocket full of moolah ready to jump out anytime we could grab ourselves a good buy. But alas! For some reason, there seemed to be a wider, more interesting array of clothes online. Hmm...maybe the computer screen somehow enhances the beauty of the clothes (?)

So, I changed my tune, accessories shopping it became.

I really enjoyed getting to know the bloggers in person, and getting my dose of blog-shopping all within one venue. Good job Tongue-in-Chic! Can’t wait for Chic Pop Market 7!!
